Introduction to Color Correction with Avid Media Composer
This one-day course, designed for the intermediate user, explains the fundamental techniques for color correcting shots or enhancing the look of clips and sequences on Avid Media Composer. Class time is divided between demonstration and hands-on practice. Analyzing footage and video signals
Topics covered include: using the Avid internal video scopes, color correcting each shot in a sequence, making sure color and luminance are within safe broadcast limits, creating a treatment for an entire sequence and using the Automatic Correction tool.
Prerequisite: Completion of the MC 101 Introduction to Avid Media Composer or the equivalent of six months’ experience editing on the Avid system is required. The MC 205 Avid Media Composer Effects Tools and Techniques course is also strongly recommended. This class is also suitable for users of Avid Xpress Pro.
One-Day intensives are from 10am-6pm.
